Friendlies: Denmark win in Germany, France beat Austria

BERLIN, Mar 28 (SW) - Denmark achieved a somewhat surprising win over Germany in an international friendly on Wednesday, while France narrowly beat Euro 2008 hosts Austria.

In a replay of the 1992 European Championships final, Denmark again proved to be too much for the Germans.

For a long time, the match headed for a scoreless draw but Nicklas Bendtner broke the deadlock for the Danes in the 81st minute.

World Cup runner-up France meanwhile, hosted Austria in another friendly and a goal from Karim Benzema in the 58th minute was enough to secure a small victory.
